The AMP Foundation Tomorrow Maker program aims to unearth some of the most extraordinary social enterprise ventures that will solve some of society’s most wicked problems.
The Tomorrow Makers program supports social entrepreneurs in their ideation development phase via the Spark program and social enterprises in their startup phase via the IGNITE program.
IGNITE is a year-long program to help social enterprises commence trading. A ‘Social Enterprise’ is defined as a business that has a social, cultural or environmental purpose and generates revenue from a trade or service to reinvest in that purpose. The IGNITE program provides a grant of up to $110,000 to provide financial support to further develop the social enterprise as well as bespoke capacity-building support through resources, tools and programs with mentors, sector, and business experts to progress the social enterprise to begin trading.
The funding streams of the 2024 cohort are Female-led businesses, First Nations People, Retiring with Dignity, and Improving Financial Fairness. These four funding streams represent areas of social impact that the AMP Foundation is committed to supporting through the Tomorrow Makers program.
Delivered by Impact Boom, the Tomorrow Makers IGNITE program allows each recipient to craft a personalised development and impact journey. They identify experiences that directly invest in their skills, knowledge, and networks, helping them achieve their goals and amplify the impact of their social change initiatives.

1. $110,000 Seed Funding
IGNITE your social venture with a substantial grant of up to $110,000, to enable you to put everything in place to commence trading within 12 months. Unleash the financial support needed to turn your social enterprise dream into reality.
2. Tailored Capacity Building
Receive bespoke capacity building support with resources, tools, and programs. An additional $10,000 is exclusively allocated for capacity building.
3. Peer Support Through IGNITE Program
Participate in the IGNITE peer support program run by Impact Boom and collaborate with like-minded Tomorrow Makers, exchange insights, and grow together within a supportive community. Benefit from tailored mentoring, coaching, monthly online group workshop with 2024 IGNITE cohort, access to online collaboration platform and app and more.
4. Six Digital Online Learning Modules
Each module will provide you with key knowledge, exercises, and insights to help you develop a sustainable enterprise and create impact. Flexible modules allow you to learn in your own time and combine it with other work. Content from the digital modules will be complemented with online workshops, Q&As, presentations and mentoring with experienced industry professionals.
5. Reignite Impact Leader’s Retreat
A two-day retreat brings together the 2024 IGNITE Tomorrow Makers with Australia’s impact-led leaders from the ‘business for good’ ecosystem for a variety of impact-themed workshops and guided conversations. The retreat will be in late July run by Impact Boom.
