Did you know that every 6 seconds, a social good blog is launched somewhere in the world? Well, that’s probably not true. But it sure seems like it. From changemaker profiles to impact measures to social impact bonds, blogging has never been bigger. *Cough*.

To save you time, we’ve done all the hard searching to bring you a definitive guide to the best-ever social entrepreneurship blogs. Sign up to a couple or all to get the most varied and complete picture of what’s happening in social entrepreneurship in Australia and around the world. Although the styles and subject matters vary, they all share three important qualities: they are all about systemic sustainable social change, frequently updated and interesting to read.

Acumen Blog

Acumen’s mission is to change the way the world tackles poverty by investing in companies, leaders, and ideas. It was founded in 2001 by Jacqueline Novogratz, author of The Blue Sweater. Acumen Fund is a non-profit global venture fund that uses entrepreneurial approaches to solve problems of global poverty. They seek to prove that small amounts of philanthropic capital, combined with large doses of business acumen, can build thriving enterprises that serve vast numbers of the poor. The blog contains stories and commentary written by Acumen’s global staff, covering such topics as social investment, entrepreneurship, and base of the pyramid (BoP) business strategies.

B Lab Blog

B Lab is a nonprofit that serves a global movement of people using business as a force for good. Foundation for Young Australians

FYA is a national for-purpose organisation dedicated to backing the next generation of young people who are going to rethink the world and create a better future. FYA provides a national platform of respect and opportunity for the best ideas and actions that young Australians have to offer. They believe that all young people have the courage, imagination and will to shape their education and create social change. From Power to Poverty

A conversational blog written and maintained by Duncan Green, strategic adviser for Oxfam GB and author of ‘From Poverty to Power’. From Poverty to Power argues that a radical redistribution of power, opportunities, and assets rather than traditional models of charitable or government aid is required to break the cycle of poverty and inequality.
